About Speed Performance Lab (SPL Racing)
Speed Performance Lab (SPL Racing) was founded from real-world development experience, hands-on testing, and a long-standing passion for Japanese performance engineering.
The brand originated through feedback and development work from my YouTube channel, JDM RHD, where I have spent over 10 years producing Nissan Skyline and GT-R focused content, builds, and technical reviews. Through this hands-on experience, it became clear that there was a need for properly engineered braking solutions specifically designed for Skyline platforms — not generic off-the-shelf applications.
This led to the creation of Speed Performance Lab, focused on designing and supplying high-quality braking systems for real street and track use.
A key part of our development process includes collaboration with Supertec Racing (UK), a respected motorsport engineering company specializing in Nissan Skyline GT-R braking systems. Working alongside Younes at Supertec — who brings over 13 years of AP Racing and Skyline brake system experience — has helped refine and validate the engineering behind our brake kit designs, ensuring they meet real-world performance standards.
Together, this development approach combines:

- Precision-machined billet 7075 aluminum brackets
- OEM-compatible rotor sizing for affordability and serviceability
- Real-world testing and application on Skyline platforms
